What’s one of the most frequent q’s to pop up on our theCityMoms member board? “Where can I find a Parents Night Out programs?” Usually it’s followed by a string of desperate emojis like shock faces and tired zzzz’s, then hashtagged with #HelpMePlease #INeedANightOut. So we’ve become well-versed in the answer to this question and are spilling our faves.Here’s the {ever-growing!} list of Parents Night Out stops in the Indianapolis area:

North

NinjaZone Academy

What are the benefits of a membership with NinjaZone? Active kids, fulfilling classes and a parents night out every month {which in our opinion, is worth the cost of membership alone!}. Ninja Sport is a fierce fusion of obstacle course training, gymnastics, martial arts, & freestyle movement, focusing the energy of your children while building their confidence. The NinjaZone Academy locations are the professional training facilities of Ninja Sport for children ages 3-11 – kids come home tired-capital-T from their wonderful Parents Night Out programs. Dana Mannix

Dana Mannix treats kiddos to a mix of bounce houses, open gym, dance parties, relay races and dinner during their Saturday Night Out programs for kids ages 5+. Their calendar shows dates available every other week; cost is $30/first child and $25/add’l if paid in advance.Location: 9325 Uptown Dr. Ste. 1000, Indianapolis

Village Playcare 

This brand new hourly + drop-in play care facility in Fishers is our dream come true and soon they'll be offering date night offerings. Central/Citywide

The Riveria Club

Enjoy an adult evening out while your kiddo has a fun evening at the Rivi. Evening includes dinner, games, a dip in the pool, and a movie. Kids should bring a towel and an extra change of clothes/pajamas. Cost: $15/member child; $25/guest child.Location: 5640 North Illinois Street Indianapolis, Indiana

YMCA of Indianapolis

One of the only organizations that offers PNOs citywide, the YMCA of Indianapolis hosts this special Saturday-evening program across many locations. Costs are reasonable and include swimming, pizza and a movie. Kiddos will also be changed into their pajamas before pickup.Locations: Multiple

East

Geist Sports Academy

Offered select Saturdays of the month, these cost-effective Parents Night Out “Gym Jams” offer lots of running, jumping, bouncing and playing for kids for 4. Hours. Straight. Bedtime will be inevitable when you get home. Costs are $20/first child; $15/siblings.Location: 10640 Deme Drive, Suite H, Indianapolis

Gymnastics Unlimited

The Parents Night Out program is held one Saturday every month from 6-10 pm. Perfect for children ages 4-14. Their calendar is a little challenging to navigate online so we recommend you call the center to register and for details.Location: 460 Rawles Court, Indianapolis

South

Wright’s FUNdamentals

Well fun IS included in the name – Wright’s FUNdamentals has a number of Indianapolis locations but their SE location specifically offers PNO programs once a month to wear the kids out. Not much detail on their calendar {other than last Saturday of the month from 7-9:30pm} so call for details.Location: 1064 Greenwood Springs Blvd. #G. Greenwood

West:

Kidz Depot

Keeping in mind that Kidz Depot is not open weekends and only select Friday evenings, their dropoff-style service DOES offer the perfect spot for kidcare during a day date {if that's your thing!}. Best part? Care is available for ages 6 weeks-12 years.Location: 1630 E. Northfield Drive  Suite 500, Brownsburg

For kiddos with special needs:

JCC Indianapolis

The JCC offers a respite opportunity for parents, with fun and inclusive programs geared towards children with special needs. These are scheduled on the 3rd Saturday of most months at the cost of $5/child.Location: 6701 Hoover Road, Indianapolis

Laurel Price
